Do I need a referral to attend a physiotherapist?

All clients can attend physiotherapy without needing a referral from a Doctor. We prefer clients attending under WorkSafe and TAC to have a Doctor's referral. Veterans' Affairs clients require a referral from their general practitioner or medical specialist.

Can physiotherapy services be claimed on Medicare or private health insurance?

Physiotherapy consultations can be claimed on the extras or ancillary tables of private health insurance policies. Consultation fees that are paid under these policies vary considerably, please check your individual policy for your cover. Unfortunately Medicare does not provide a rebate for physiotherapy services.

What is the usual waiting time?

Generally we are able to offer same day appointments. However, occasionally, there may be a wait of up to 2-3 days. We offer appointments from 8am - 8pm, we try to be flexible and convenient for you.

How long does an appointment last?

Initial appointments will last between 30 and 40 minutes. Follow-up appointments will last between 20-30 minutes. WorkSafe, TAC, EPC and DVA appointments have different consultation times, please call 9337 3140 to find out how much time you will be afforded.
